Frank Rich on the Meaning of Stonewall

(ed. note: For me, personally, one of the most poignant and empowering aspects of the Stonewall Rebellion 40 years ago (today!) was that it was a rebellion by kids who simply had nothing more to lose. They were not the gay professionals who had respect and success in New York City---if no where else in the US.
