The purpose of the Trust is to benefit the people of the community of Mokelumne Hill, including, but not limited to providing for the acquisition, improvement and maintenance of places open for public use such as parks, playgrounds and public buildings; and to preserve the rich historic heritage of the community for future generations.
In short, if it benefits the people of Mokelumne Hill, the Trust is interested in helping.
The Mokelumne Hill Community Trust is Chartered as a Non-Profit Charitable California ( SE.501 (c) 3) Corporation.
The current Chair is Kris Ford, Treasurer is Charles Herndon and Secretary is Susan Komure. Board members include Verlyn O'Neil, MaryAnne Garamendi, Sally Tuttle, Julia Costello, Dean Alan Link, Richard Neves, Ed Cline, Jane Canty and Pamela Hill.
The public is welcome at Trust Board meetings (held at the Library) which are listed in the website Calendar.
The Trust provides and administrates the official Mokelumne Hill website, www.MokeHill.com, publishes the Comunity Phone Book and hosts the annual Turkey in the Barrel Dinner in November.
The Trust is always looking for volunteers from the community. Please let them know if you are willing to help.

The regularly scheduled meeting of the Mokelumne Hill Community Trust will occur at the Mokelumne Hill Library on Monday, July 21, 2008 from 7-9:30 p.m. The agenda will include passage of the new bylaws for the organization. The bylaws are currently posted in the Library for anyone to read and comment on prior to the meeting. For additional information, please contact Kris at 286-1631.
Due to the Moke Hill 4th of July celebration, we will not have a Children's Hour on the first Friday of the month. We will resume on the third Friday, July 18, with our summer time schedule from 10:30-11:30 a.m.

Sunday, April 27, 2008 heralds the 30th Annual Mother Lode "Hot Jazz Party" in Jackson, CA. Nine bands will be featured with music presented at six different venues/locations in Jackson. Proceeds of this event will benefit the ARC Program of Amador and Calaveras, as well as the Amador/Argonaut Band Boosters.
The Mokelumne Hill Community Trust will be conducting their regularly scheduled business meeting on Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at 7 p.m. in the Mokelumne Hill Library. Any interested persons are invited to attend.
We will be having Children's Hour at the Library on the first and third Friday at the Moke Hill Library, sponsored by the Moke Hill Friends of the Library.
