Starting at 10 am the 2nd Annual Christmas Bazaar Town Hall Fundraiser will open its doors with many unique and handmade gifts! All proceeds go to none other than the Town Hall! Also, starting at 10 am another Christmas Craft Faire will begin at the Moke Hill Elementary School.

WEST POINT - The Pie Ladies of West Point stopped baking this week, and the entire town is certain to be poorer, and hungrier.

Peggy Whiteley died suddenly last Monday. She was 78. Her sister, Gerry Bayless, 84, suffered a stroke the next day and was hospitalized.

Thanks to the enthusiastic participation of the whole school, the second annual Gopher-a-walkathon was a huge success! The event brought in over $4,000 - enough to pay for this year's field trips, art instuction in the classroom, and new playground equipment. Second grader, Olivia Long, won the $50 Walmart gift card for bringing in the most money - $219!
