The Drink and Fruit Snack Table for the walkers!

Thanks to the enthusiastic participation of the whole school, the second annual Gopher-a-walkathon was a huge success! The event brought in over $4,000 - enough to pay for this year's field trips, art instuction in the classroom, and new playground equipment. Second grader, Olivia Long, won the $50 Walmart gift card for bringing in the most money - $219!

Prancing Pony Play Day?

WHOA THERE... In September a friend had called to say that the Valley Sierra Miniature Horse Club was having a Prancing Pony Play-Day at the horse arena and they were looking for kids who might be interested in participating. Are you kidding me? I must admit my curiosity and my imagination was getting the best of me.

I didn't want to...

BUT I DID and it turned out great! Put my kid in Day Care? No Way…I can do it! Well guess what…upon moving to Moke Hill in 2002 I became a working single mom. I tried and tried different things to not have to send my child but after one month it was obvious. My daughter started going to the Moke Hill Kids Place in the first grade.
