Come and join Kris and MaryAnne for an action packed Children's Hour at the Moke Hill Library on the first and third Friday of each month from 12:30-1:30 p.m. We offer music, literacy activities, arts & crafts, snack, and other fun types of activities for children of all ages.
We are currently beginning to study native fish, their life cycles, their habitats, etc. As part of our children's hour, we will periodically feature related themes to herald our new batch of salmon eggs which will be arriving January 22, and begin incubating in a special habitat located in the children's section of the library. The culmination of this project last year was the children's release of the salmon "fry" at the Mokelumne Hill Fish Hatchery later in the Spring, when the "fry" were ready to begin "swimming with the fishes" as their life journey continued.
For any additional information about our program, please contact Kris Ford (286-1631) or MaryAnne Garamendi (286-1705).
