Planning Commissioner for District 2

The Calaveras County Board of Supervisors unanimously approved
McLaughlin’s application to the commission during its weekly meeting

draw from for this experience," McLaughlin wrote in her application for
the position. “I have assisted many communities with planning and
economic development projects."

McLaughlin holds a master's degree in Urban and Regional Planning from
California State University, Fresno, and a Bachelor of Science degree in
Environmental Planning and Management from the University of California
at Davis.

"Calaveras is a unique place to live with wonderful assets, especially
the people who live here," she stated in her application. "Through this
position, I hope to adequately represent their wishes as the county grows."

In other commission news, District 3 Commissioner Suzanne Kuehl was
re-elected unanimously to serve as the commission’s chair. The
commission also voted 5-1 approving Ted Allured, District 1
Commissioner, to serve another term as the commission’s vice chair.

The commission voted to continue agenda item 6.A., regarding the land
use application for a tentative parcel map within Conner Estates
Subdivision in Copperopolis. This item will be discussed at the Planning
Commission’s next meeting on March 6.
