Town Hall Fundraiser a Huge Success!

On Monday night fans of the New Christy Minstrels Under the Direction of Randy Sparks and Moke Hill alike filled the Town Hall in a great show of support for the Town Hall Restoration Project. Spirits were high and a great time was had by all. The event put our town $8,000 closer to reaching fundraising goals that will support the renovation of the Hall.

A regularly scheduled meeting of the Mokelumne Hill Community Trust is scheduled for Wednesday evening, November 5, from 7-8:45 p.m. In addition to our regular agenda of business, we will be finalizing plans for the upcoming Turkey in a Barrel dinner, scheduled for Nov. 15 at the Town Hall. If the walls of the town hall could talk - they would say a good time had by all! We brought in $ 7,500 from ticket and bar sales. Brenda Brown ran pledges back and forth to the stage for Randy to announce - and it totaled $5,500 !!! Our community members was so generous! And there is more...Robert Zucker, AMAZ Productions will purchase the new PA system for the hall when we are ready. In essence we raised $18,000 counting the PA savings - which the grant writiers estimated up to a $5.000 purchase.

Thanks to our group and all of you town hall lovers. It was a blast.
