The Mokelumne Hill Elementary Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) sponsors and coordinates activities to enrich the educational experience of our students. Here are a few of the things we do:

•Halloween Carnival
•Santa’s Shop
•Sock Hop – Spring Dance
•Penny Drive – a contest to raise funds for library books
•Field trips
•Art Instruction
•Playground and PE equipment
•Student Store – a rewards program for positive citizenship
•Assemblies to help build community and school spirit featuring performers and presenters like the Bubble Man, visiting reptiles, traveling magicians, etc.
•Math Mini-bowl support and transportation
•Teacher Appreciation Lunch
•Scholastic Book Fair
•Provide food & refreshments at school related community events like Back to School Night, Open House, Family Math Night, Bike Safety Night, Christmas Pageant, etc.

Many of our activities are self-supporting, but to raise funds for field trips, playground and classroom supplies, school improvement, and art education, we will be holding the following fundraisers this year:

•Penny Drive for Library Books, February 2008
•Cookie Dough Sales, Spring 2008
