2009 Engineer of the Year, Gene Weatherby
The San Joaquin Engineer's Council is proud to announce Gene Weatherby of Weatherby-Reynolds-Fritson Engineering Design in Jackson has been named the 2009 Engineer of the Year.
The 2009 Engineer of the Year will be honored at the Annual SJEC Banquet to be held Thursday, February 19, 2009 at the University of the Pacific in Stockton. The banquet is an opportunity for engineers, contractors, scientists, professors, students, and other professionals to gather and celebrate the contributions made by the field of engineering. Along with the Engineer of the Year, the Distinguished Service Award will be presented to John Larson, an instructor at San Joaquin Delta College in Stockton. These honors are presented to individuals nominated by their peers that have made notable contributions to the engineering field through their professional work, participation, and service to the industry.
The banquet is held annually during Engineer’s Week, a nation-wide event recognizing the works and contributions of the engineering profession. This year's event will begin at 5:30 pm on Thursday February 19, 2009 at the University Center on the University of the Pacific Campus in Stockton.
