Come one, come all, to Mokelumne Hill's 24th annual Turkey in a Barrel dinner, on Saturday, November 15, 2008. The event features succulent and delectable barrel-roasted birds, with all of the usual accompaniments, concluding with dessert and coffee. A no host "Happy Hour" begins the evening at 6 p.m., followed by the dinner at 7 p.m. A drawing and raffle complete the evening beginning at 8 p.m.
This popular annual gathering is a community benefit to raise funds for local youth and adult recreation activities, town beautification projects, California History Day, scholarships, the Town Hall Restoration project, and other community support activities and local projects. Prices are $15 for adults, $10 for seniors 65 and older, and $5 for children 5-12 years old. This event is often sold out, so it is advisable to purchase your tickets in advance.
